This year we are doing an Advent reading plan for the month of December. We’ll be reading through various passages in the Bible that document Jesus’ birth as well as passages that foretell His coming.
In preparation for BIBLE 2020 we are challenging you to read these passages aloud. Whether you’re in the street, on the train, in your office or home alone, reading Scripture aloud can often allow us to see the passage from a different perspective.
We are challenged in many parts of the Bible to read aloud. 1 Timothy 4:13, Nehemiah 8:3 and Joshua 8:34-35 all state the importance of reading the Bible aloud, and there are many other passages which talk about it too.
Here’s the reading plan for December 2019:
It can be a daunting thought to some of us to read the Bible aloud, but it is a very rewarding and beneficial practice. Follow us on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram to see BSNI staff, board members and supporters reading these passages aloud.
If you do record yourself reading aloud please send them to us at info@biblesocietyni.co.uk. We’d love to see your videos!
