What now?

The story of Pentecost is amazing. Everyone who was there was able to hear the Gospel and understand it in in their own language. Those of us who have the Bible in our own language often take it for granted that we can read and understand what God’s Word. Unfortunately, many people around the world don’t have a copy of the Bible in their language. Currently 1.5 billion people worldwide do not have the full Bible in their language and 246 million people have no scriptures in their own language at all.

The Bible Society in Northern Ireland helps to raise vital funds for Bible Societies around the world translating the scriptures into many different languages. One of these projects can be found in Argentina. Currently the people of West Toba, Argentina, only have the New Testament  translated into the Toba language. Now, after years of having only the New Testament, the community has expressed their want to have the whole Bible and translation has begun.

The Bible Society in Northern Ireland is delighted to be supporting this project in 2019. To find out more click here.
